About Grandparent’s Day Grandparent’s Day is celebrated in September, on the first Sunday following Labor Day. This year that date falls on Sunday September 9th.  Founded by Marian McQuade, her primary purpose was to celebrate  and honor the  elderly in nursing homes.  She also hoped to encourage grandchildren to inherit the wisdom and heritage from their grandparents. We have great theme ideas to celebrate this wonderful season. If you’re having an autumn company picnic, fall birthday party or even a fall fun fair at your school or church! Let Us Do It For You!  Invitations: Send out pumpkin or leaf pictures with the party information or if you are going to hand deliver the invitations, buy mini pumpkins and write “Join us for some fall fun!” on them with a marker or paint. 1) Keep the kids BUSY! Plan games and activities ahead of time and make a rough schedule for the day so that you have a plan to stick to.
