Over the last few months we’ve been taking a closer look at our pricing so we can make sure we’re giving you, our amazing clients, the best deal possible. Of course we need to make sure that our costs are covered, but our priority is to supply a top-notch party that can fit any budget.
As of September 1st, 2015 our updated pricing will be in effect.
Some services will be a little more, some will be less, but everything is designed to give you the best bang for your buck!
One of the questions that we’re asked on a regular basis is “what’s included?” and, since we’re in the process of updating our prices, it feels like the perfect time to write up our official answer.
Some of the costs included in our pricing are obvious, but some are not. Here’s a look at what your party price really pays for:
Supplies – It’s no surprise that every event includes supplies, but some are more obvious than others. From our ultimate inflatables down to the brushes and brush cleaner our face painters use, every supply required is an expense we need to cover. The cost we pass along to you is our supply cost divided by the numbers of parties we did the previous year. That means as we get busier, supplies will cost you less!
Staff Pay – We know that our party leaders are amazing, and we’re pretty sure you know it too. They are highly talented and dynamic leaders who need to be just as skilled interacting with kids as they are with hauling around heavy equipment. We ask a lot from them and they still continue to exceed our expectations, so we like to compensate them well. In addition to the time they spend at your event, they are also paid for the time they spend packing/unpacking and travelling to your party. Have you met our team?
Training – Even though our staff are naturally talented, we still need to make sure they are trained to provide Par-T-Perfect calibre services. Every April we host a spring training event where our new staff can spend the day learning all the skills they will need for the busy summer season. We host a similar event in November to prepare our staff for the holiday season. In between these major training events, we host a variety of smaller face painting and balloon workshops to make sure we’re always learning new and exciting things.
Insurance – One of the things that sets Par-T-Perfect apart from other children’s event services is that every single one of our events is covered by $5 million liability insurance. Whether you’re planning a small backyard birthday party or a public function for thousands, you’ll be fully covered in the event that (heaven forbid!) anything goes wrong. Our full insurance coverage also gives you the ability to book an event at almost any venue in the Lower Mainland. Many venues require that the venue itself (or the city, school district etc.) be named specifically on our insurance policy. We’re happy to provide that for you at no additional cost!
Office Time – On average, our office team spends at least an hour with each client who books, and 30 minutes with each client who doesn’t book an event. This includes the consultation process, quote creation, bookings, addressing questions and concerns, brainstorming event ideas, preparing supplies, and organizing staff. It takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to make each party perfect! Have you met the office team?
