We had such a great time at last weekend’s Healthy Family Expo!
If you were there, we hope you enjoyed it too. If not, here’s a look at what you missed out on.
We had the pleasure of being set up in the 10,000 square foot Active Kid Zone alongside Sportball, Pedalheads, Games2u, and Climb Base 5. The kids had a great time burning off some extra energy on the Fire Station Jump & Slide, bike area, obstacle course, play area, giant hamster balls, and 24′ climbing wall. Active play is so important to help kids grow and develop properly, plus it’s a whole lot of fun!
From our spot in the Active Kid Zone we had a perfect view of all the acts on the stage as well. Lucky us! Everyone’s favourite duo, Bobs & LoLo, kicked things off with a fun, singalong performance that drew a HUGE crowd. Everyone got up and danced when DancePl3y took to the stage! The Urban Safari Rescue Society introduced the kids to a bunch of animals, including Dozer, the giant 120 pound tortoise! Canada’s country music sweetheart, Jesse Farrell, got the kids singing and dancing again in the afternoon, and then Nature’s Path: Envirokidz wrapped things up with an interactive seed planting workshop.
Overall is was a fun-filled and action-packed day, and we’re so glad we got the chance to share it with so many amazing people! Hope to see you there next year for small steps & simple solutions to eco-friendly, healthy, active living!
